Heating and Warming the Wax- Before using the Melting Pot we recommend, for easy clean up, preparing the outside of the warmer with a small amount of Pre-dep oil and placing a wax ring collar around the top perimeter of the heater.
- Begin melting wax tin in our thermostatically controlled Cirepil heater 20-25 minutes before your client arrives. An investment in an automatic timer is a good idea so your wax can be ready when you arrive. Heat the wax between 4-5 on the heater dial. Within 20 minutes, the wax should be at the appropriate consistency, creamy and smooth. Adjust the temperature control dial to accommodate climatic changes in the salon or spa. If the room is warm the wax heater is ideal at the number 4 setting. If the room is cold or the air conditioner is on, a setting of 5 may be better.
- When the wax is at a lower than halfway level in the tin, we recommend refilling with the appropriate bead. Replace stripless waxes with new tin and pour remaining wax on top.
- Always test the temperature of the wax before applying to your client. If the wax is very liquid and watery, it is an indication the wax is too hot.
